Grey in Savannah...
This was a great find in Savannah - enjoyed my last meal in Savannah here before taking a bus to the airport! This building is a former Greyhound Station, thus the name, The Grey. Check out those vintage suitcases on the wall. It has a very cool vintage vibe!
Quarter Star...
I noticed this one day while walking through the French Quarter on my way to the Louis Armstrong Festival. One of my friends loves STARS, so I immediately sent her the picture! I am always on the lookout for little moments and things to share with my friends and clients! Creating experiences is what I love to do!
YVR HC Festival...
Every year around February there is a fabulous Hot Chocolate Festival. Cafes and Restaurants all over Vancouver come up with these amazing Hot Chocolate Recipes (okay some of them are kinda crazy). This one was a few years ago at a Macaron Shop called Soirette! They are usually served with a small treat. The goal is to try as many as you can in the 4 weeks of the Festival. Does your city have a Festival like this or something equally as cool? I’d love to hear about it!
The Whitby NYC...
Afternoon Tea is my Guilty Pleasure. There were so many places I could have gone to in NYC for this. I chose the Whitby. The quirkiest Hotel I have ever encountered and it was amazing. Not only did they celebrate my 50th Birthday a year early with me (thank heavens), but they also sent over a glass of Champagne and celebrated my 1st trip to NYC. The whole day was incredibly MAGICAL and my SOUL was so blessed. Thank you to the staff at The Whitby for such a fabulous experience.
Alligator, Ms.
When you love Alligators and find out there is a city called Alligator, you take a detour off the Blues Highway (Route 61) to get a picture with the city sign. Why do I love Alligators? Because they are beautiful and FIERCE. Next up? Coffee City, Tx! Where does your SOUL want to go?
Living History...
I admit that I spent a weekend tromping about the French Quarter in search of the Living History Characters. I gave up and went to Tujagues for lunch - and there they all were. They invited me to join them for lunch. That’s the MAGIC of New Orleans!
Magic & Bourbon.
The last night of our 2008 Volunteer Trip to NOLA. After a week of rebuilding houses with SBP-USA (St Bernard Project) we were ready to CELEBRATE a week of mold remediation and hanging drywall with some beverages on Bourbon.
Zen in Biloxi.
I always celebrated the end of the Rocky Mountaineer Season with a trip. On the last day of my 2017 trip this is how I was feeling. I sat on the beach with a coffee and worship music playing and reflected for a minute before hopping on a bus and starting the journey home.
Live like Holly in Tx.
When your photographer doesn’t show at Tiffany’s in Ft. Worth you find your COURAGE and ask for a staff member to take a photo of you. This was such a fun shoot. Thank you Kendra at the Clearfork Store!
5th Ave & Audrey.
That time I flew to NYC from NOLA for a photo shoot for the invitations for my 50th Birthday. I felt a little out of my element, and very self conscious until a group of giggly college girls told me I looked just like Audrey, I almost cried. GAME CHANGER.
JJ Bean & Marine.
The Marine Building is one of my favorite Heritage Buildings here in Vancouver. I love the stained glass windows and the details of both the inside and outside of the building. The JJ Bean at the Marine Building is one of my favorite Coffee Spaces in the city - it’s so classy and elegant and I just love it! One of my Tours starts at the Marine Building, so come on out with me - we’ll take a minute or two and get some selfies in the lobby!
You have Mail...
I had a fantastic 48 Hour Adventure in Austin, Tx. Thank you to my friend Fiona for showing me around your city and for a chance to catch up! Donuts, BBQ out in Lockhart, Chips N Salsa for breakfast and a trip to Buc-ee’s - a true adventure! I have saved the Bat Bridge for next time, as well as a couple of other points of interest. I did my best to stay weird - AUSTIN!
